It took three Ads to convince us that the overly anticipated Apple iPhone is finally shipping on the 29th of June. But here is a nugget that suggests that it will start shipping from 6.00 p.m. onwards. However it is not clear whether it will ship 6pm Pacific, or 6pm in each location. I guess Steve Jobs should be a bit more specific when he divulges information. If it’s local time that Apple opts for then the guys at east coast will have a chance to sample and warn the rest of the gang if their efforts in the queue are worth it!

Left; Bill Gates in 1984 and; Bill Gates during commencement ceremonies at Harvard University June 7, 2007.
There’s a great photo of Bill Gates from 1977, the year he would have graduated from Harvard if he hadn’t dropped out. He was 22 at the time and looks all of 16. He’s got a flowered collar, tinted glasses and feathered blond hair, and he looks so happy, you’d swear he knew what the rest of his life was going to be like. He also has a sign around his neck: it’s a mug shot. “I was out driving Paul [Allen]’s car,” Gates says, flashing that same smile 30 years later. “They pulled me over, and I didn’t have my license, and they put me in with all the drunks all night long. And that’s why the rest of my life, I’ve always tried to have a fair amount of cash with me. I like the idea of being able to bail myself out.” Mission accomplished. Read the rest of this entry »

a Windows Mobile 5.0-based Pocket PC Phone Edition which clearly follows in the tradition of the O2 Xda IIi (aka HTC Himalaya).
Looks like it’s nothing special except the large 3.5″ touchscreen and the two megapixel camera.
All the rest is pretty basic - including GSM and GPRS (no UMTS not to talk about HSDPA), WiFi and Bluetooth and - unfortunately - Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone Edition only
